According to market research conducted by African Response, 71% of South Africans think that we will be ready for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

South Africa has implemented and is currently undergoing an immense amount of preparation ahead of 2010, including transport, telecommunications, travel and tourism, policy and security, and much more. South Africans response regarding progress around these developments were as follows.
- 36% Believe that we will meet electricity demands by 2010.
- 76% Is confident that our airports will cope with the influx of visitors in 2010.
- 62% Believe that South African roads will be ready by 2010.
- 39% Of Cape Town respondents were confident with the preparation of policing and security compared to 74% of Durban respondents.
